Petersburg is home to major festivals (like Harvest Fest in September) and weekly events throughout the year. Lincoln’s New Salem State Park hosts many exhibits and events throughout the year and is home to the “Theatre in the Park” with fantastic plays each summer. The Hill Prairie Winery in nearby Oakford is open year ‘round and offers free weekly entertainment every Sunday afternoon and has three major festivals.
